Asha’s account of Film Festival
As recently reported, Asha’s film Dance Fuizion was nominated in the recent Limelight Film and Arts Awards. Read Asha’s account of the night below and see some of her photos capturing the night:
After finding out that I’d have my film at the Limelight Film Festival I was well excited and got all my mates together in our red carpet clothes, which was weird for some of them being suited and booted. After arriving I actually realised how big the event was, we felt like celebrities walking on the red carpet and then getting our photos taken and chatting away sipping champagne, we had our own table and it all felt very posh.
The nerves got to me when I saw my name on the programme. We watched clips of all the films and you could see all the hard work people had put in to make theses short films, they all looked really professional. My category was ‘free fall’ and all the other films were so good and I couldn’t believe my film was next to these films…I didn’t win :( but felt really proud that my film got sooo far. It definitely made me want to make more films, keep at the dancing and enter again next year. I want to thank Futureversity, Emma, Dodge, Satu and all the people who took part for helping me with the film.
